Samuel Arthur Moore, Jr.

Samuel Arthur Moore, Jr., 79, of Claysville passed away peacefully on Thursday August 20, 2026 in the loving care of his long-time friends Chris and Scott Sinkko.

He was born October 30, 1946 in Washington a son of the late Samuel Arthur and Dorothy Howard Moore.

Sam enjoyed watch TV, especially M.A.S.H. and enjoyed sitting outside with his Cat Stormy along-side him watching the clouds go by.

Sam was a graduate of Trinity High School.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy and served in Vietnam from 1964 ton 1968.

Surviving is a sister Nancy Piatt of Washington and various cousins. He was very close to Anthony Morgan whom he helped raise and often referred to as his son.

He was preceded in death by twin brother and sister Donald and Dolores Moore. 

As per Samuel’s request all arrangements will be private and be held at the convenience of family.
