It's with the heaviest of hearts to let you all know that Sandra has passed away. She has been sick for quite a while, so her pain and struggles are over. She's at peace. She was a remarkable woman that was able to do so much with so little. Her little frame was strong enough to carry all of us well into adulthood. Many will know her as a card reader, since she's read literally thousands of people's cards. Her card was drawn today. If anyone has earned a spot in heaven, it is her. Please take a moment to reflect on selflessness, as she has personified it. She is most certainly resting in peace, and about to get real mischievous.
She was born May 30, 1950 in Washington a daughter of the late Frank and Tosie Varner Byrd.
Sandra was a member of the VFW Post 927 in Washington and the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #22 also in Washington.
Surviving are her three sons Michael (Kathleen) Reilly of Manchester, CT, Daniel Reilly of Washington and David (Shelley Ryan) Reilly also of Washington. Also surviving are her grandchildren Danny Reilly, Morgan Reilly, Jenna Reilly, Michael Reilly, Jr., William Reilly and Aubrey Ryan.
Deceased are her siblings Danny Byrd, Bev Dean, Keith Byrd and Doug Byrd. Due to COVID-19, and out of respect for Sandra’s friends there will be no viewing or visitation.
A funeral procession to Washington Cemetery will depart from DeAngelo Funeral Home at 1290 Jefferson Avenue in Washington at 10:00 Thursday December 10, 2020 for a graveside committal service.
