Shawna Nicole "Mimi" Whitlock

Shawna Nichole "Mimi" Whitlock, 57 of Washington, departed this life for the next on Friday, October 18,

2024.

Shawna was the beloved daughter of Antoinette C. Whitlock and Noah A. Jackson.  The loving older sister of Kevin, Travis, and Anthony Whitlock.  And the beloved mother of Phillip Adrian, Daurice (Leandra), Nichole Alyse, Lashai, Cory, Tamra and Nicholas Whitlock.  The beloved Grandmother of Jaxson, Catalaya, and Cory, Jr., (whom were the apples of her eye) Rozlynn, Kyeonna, Kye'Shawn, Ka-Ron, Shila, Syere, Cayden, Nadia, Xyaiir, Phillip and Shazier.

Shawna worked many years in retail with Ames Department Store and Kohl's before moving on to

work for Safe Haven Family Shelter Inc. In recent years, as a result of her declining health, Shawna

found enjoyment in watching her "stories", and strength in spending time with her son Cory, youngest grandchildren, her favorite cousin Art Rawls, Mr. Bill, and the only father she ever knew. Left to cherish and keep her memory alive are her grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, a score of nieces and nephews, and all who knew and truly loved her. Shawna was preceded in glory by her maternal grandmother Marlene Whitlock Allen of Monessen, mother Antoinette, brother Anthony of Pittsburgh, daughters Nichole Alyse and Tamra, her closest cousin Tamra D. Davidson Taylor, and best friend Sherri Miller.

"Rest now mother, you're with familiar company. As your soul reunites with those you lost in life…those

you left behind, we all find that comforting. In our minds and in our hearts...forever you'll be. No more pain, no more suffering - you're finally free!"

A memorial gathering will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Thursday October 24, 2024 in Dale D. DeAngelo Funeral Home at 1290 Jefferson Avenue in Washington.

Funeral services will follow in the funeral home at 1:00 immediately following the viewing.

All other arrangements are private.
