Thomas Hughes Obituary

 

Thomas A. Hughes, 73, of Washington passed away Monday April 23, 2018 in Southmont Presbyterian Senior Care in Washington where he was president of the residents Men’s Club.

He was born August 4, 1944 in Washington the son of the late James H. and Helen C. Leskoski Hughes.

During his youth, he was a student at Washington School District schools.

Mr. Hughes was a lifelong member of St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church in Washington where he was a member of the Holy Name Society and Usher.  For several decades he would volunteer for various church functions.

He enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Pulaski Club, the Jessop Club and the Alpine Club, all in Washington.

Surviving are three nieces and one nephew.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers James, Charles and William Hughes.

Friends will be received from 2-5 p.m. Sunday in Dale D. DeAngelo Funeral Home at 1290 Jefferson Ave. in Washington.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday April 30, 2018 in St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church at 320 Henderson Ave. in Washington.  Interment will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Washington.  A guestbook is available at www.deangelocare.com.
