Thresa Horvath, 90, of Washington passed away Tuesday June 22, 2021.
She was born December 6, 1930 in Canonsburg a daughter of Ignatius and Anna Vininsky Taper.
Mrs. Horvath was Catholic and a member of St. Hilary Church in Washington for many years.
She enjoyed knitting, sewing, cooking, and spending time with her sisters.
Her husband John F. Horvath passed away December 14, 2002.
Surviving are two sons; Robert J. Horvath (Joanie) of Findlay, OH and Alan R. Horvath of Pensacola, FL; a granddaughter Crystal Schimmoeller (Jason); and her great grandchildren Pyper, Marlissa, Zoie, Ethan, and Mackenzie. Also surviving are sisters; Margaret Urbas, Nancy (Carl) Andree, and Janet (Richard) Andree and brothers; James (Rose) Taper, Joseph (Julie) Taper, and Anthony Taper; cousins Frank and Richard Jakubetz and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Horvath was preceded in death by a sister Irene Taper, and brothers Edward (Joan) Taper, John (Janice) Taper and Theodore (Lorraine) Taper.
Friends will be received from 4-8 p.m. Friday in Dale D. DeAngelo Funeral Home at 1290 Jefferson Avenue in Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday June 26, 2021 in St. Hilary Church at 320 Henderson Avenue in Washington. Entombment will follow in Mary Mother of the Church Mausoleum in Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Peters Township.
