Andrew P. “Emo” Soltez, 76, of Washington died Monday July 4, 2016 in his home.
He was born May 29, 1940 in Pittsburgh the son of Andrew S. and Genevieve Mamayek Soltez.
Mr. Soltez was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic in Washington where he volunteered for the church decorating committee and the fish fry committee. His greatest joy in life came from spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. He also loved working on his house and in his shop and following Wash High Football. Tri-State Engineering employed him for eighteen years and then Washington Penn Plastics for seventeen years until his retirement. He was a member of USWA District 10.
On February 16, 1963 in Immaculate Conception Church he married Patricia Daniels who survives.
Surviving are three sons Michael A. (Karen) Soltez of Irwin, Stephen J. (Sarah) Soltez of Indiana and Matthew J. (Stephenie) Soltez of Washington, and one brother James J. (Dorothy) Soltez of Moscow, ID. Also surviving are three grandchildren Kaitlyn L. Soltez, Rachel E. Soltez and Ian Andrew Soltez.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday in Dale D. DeAngelo Funeral Home at 1290 Jefferson Ave. in Washington 15301. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday July 8, 2016 in Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Washington. Interment will follow in The Washington Cemetery.
