Helen J. Tutay Campbell

Helen J. Tutay Campbell, 93, of Washington died Friday November 4, 2016 in St. Barnabas Center in Gibsonia.

She was born October 6, 1923 in Washington the daughter of Anthony and Katherine Yaros Tutay.

Mrs. Campbell was a graduate of Washington High School.

During WWII she worked at an ammunition plant to support the war effort.

She was employed as a waitress at Shorty’s Restaurant for many years.

Mrs. Campbell was a member of St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church in Washington for many years.  She enjoyed playing bingo and polka dancing with her husband with whom she won an award for best dancers.  She also bowled in a women’s bowling league in Washington.

Her husband Richard A. Campbell preceded her in death.

Surviving is a daughter Sharon K. (Jim) Galuska of Gibsonia, and three sons Ronald A. (Donna) Tutay of Washington, Gary R. (Barb) Campbell of Bentleyville and James L. Campbell of Washington.  Also surviving are a sister Dolly Kocian of Canonsburg and a brother Edward Tutay of Florida, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters Caroline Charnesky and Violet Shepherd.

Friends will be received from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday in Dale D. DeAngelo Funeral Home at 1290 Jefferson Ave. in Washington where a blessing service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday November 10, 2016 with Rev. Thomas D. O’Neil officiating.  Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens in McMurray.
